Soul Song

Heard out tonight,
traveling upon the wind
A haunting yet,
spellbound tune begins
A lone wolf,
sings out his song
His chilling howl,
aimed at a silvery moon
He sounds like,
his heart will break
Perhaps it just might,
for why is his love so late?
But the moon,
has no answer
All it can do is look from above,
spreading it's glowing light
As it sheds a crystal tear,
knowing all is not right
For it saw the wolfs mate,
fall victim to a hunters gun
The moon does not understand,
all the things it often sees
Shining from so far above,
the lonely moon can only weep
The wolf calls out again,
his soul song with all his might
But fears within his heart...
Fate caught up with her tonight.....
